Red Oak is arguably the most popular hardwood in the U.S., and is a ubiquitous sight in many American homes. Even vinyl/imitation wood surfaces are printed to look like Red Oak. Hard, strong and moderately priced, Red Oak presents an exceptional value to woodworker – which explains why it’s so widely used in cabinet and furniture making.
